You talk about 100% recycled card, is that motley at all, and will it affect the printing?
No. The recycled stock I have everything printed on is a very refined, smooth card that has no texture when you run your hand over it. There are very tiny flecks throughout it, but nothing that will affect the finished product.
What type and colour envelopes do you supply?
I provide 100% recycled thick stock Envirocare envelopes in white only. For me to give you the best value on high quality 100% recycled envelopes, I needed to buy them in bulk, and white is currently the only option.
What happens if I get my invitations and there is a typo?
I won’t send anything off to print until I have your written word (in an email) giving the all clear to print. I by nature edit everything anyway and will contact you if I find an error in the details you have given me, but I’m only human. If I have missed something, or typed incorrectly and you have also missed it and have given the ok, I will give you 40% off a reprint, but there will have to be extra postage sorry.
Your turn around time is 10 days, what happens if I need my invitations sooner?
I know what it’s like to forget to organise an event on time! That’s why I am more than happy to accommodate you. The very earliest I can do however, is 6 working days due to printing and drying times (that’s with express post). There will be a $30 surcharge for prioritising your order (as I also have graphic design jobs amongst the invitation orders), and I will invoice you for the surcharge and express postage separately.
What if I really love your style and want you to do my invitations, but there is nothing that I want out of your range?
Then call me! Or email me! I am more than happy to cater to your specific needs! You tell me what you’re after and I will bring that about for you to ensure that you just love promoting your special occasion. I only charge a flat rate of $50 (no matter how long I take) on top of printing for a custom computer designed invitation or birth announcement, because I will go on to sell that design in my store. If that doesn’t suit your budget however, I am slowly building up my collection, so if you have time up your sleeve, check back now and then to see my new designs.
However, if you’re after custom handcrafted wedding invitation & stationery, I’d love to meet with you! If we’re not close, please call, skype or email me for a quote, as each idea will be unique and each budget different.
Can I have the names of guests added to my invitations?
Yes of course you can. Please email me a PDF of your guest list and I will insert them for you. Guest names are printed on each invitation in matching colors and fonts. Don’t forget to check the spelling of all your guests!
If I don’t want names, can you leave a space so that I can write names on the invitations?
Some of my designs already have the space inserted, but some of them don’t have names or a line (this is probably because that design was once for a friend who chose not to have either). If there’s no room I will let you know, otherwise, I will do my best to fit either names or a line into the design. Just be aware that if you choose to have a line and write it in yourself, that you will need the right colour and pen (not a biro) so that the names stand out against the background.
Why $12 for postage?
$12 covers the postage from the printer to me, and after collate & package your order beautifully I post it on to you. No matter how many you order, I wanted to keep postage fair and even if you place a large order you will only pay $12.
What do I need to know about submitting photos?
HIGH QUALITY please. So any photo that you took off a digital camera (anything greater than 3.2 mega pixels is good), but not a camera phone please. I will need the photos as it’s own .jpg file please, so nothing that’s been inserted into a Word or PowerPoint file please. I will make any alterations required (eg cropping, changing colour filters, etc.).
If you’re needing photo ideas, please look at the sample in store as to what has worked for that design. For example, birth announcement cards look great with a photo of the new bub with any older siblings you may have. If not, I love Photoshop, so I will play with what you have sent and make it work for you.
Will you supply magnets or envelope seals with my order?
Not yet sorry. It’s in my plans as I grow and expand. For now, I just wanted to get the basics up and running. But I’m hoping to start getting quotes from September 2010.
Can I reorder more invitations/announcement cards?
You sure can! Just go back to the online store, click on the design again, checkout and on the ‘invitation details form’ say: "Please use artwork ( Your Order #) - No proof required". I’ll then get your order reprinted and sent back to you ASAP.
Am I able to choose a design from one category and use it for something different?
Yes for sure! For example, if you’re planning a 50th birthday party and like one of children’s designs, then let me know on the ‘invitation details form‘ - or even one of the engagement party designs as a birthday invitation. After checkout, click on the ‘key’ button to the left and tell me all your event details. The options are endless!
